• Description : The Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Program enables children and young people to form positive food, health, sustainability, and wellbeing habits for life through ‘pleasurable food education’ delivered in hands-on kitchen and garden classes. The Program offers models from early learning through to primary and secondary years. Operating in over 1000 schools nationally, it has impacted over a million children and young people in the 20 years since inception. With a vision to see healthy children and young people living in sustainable communities across Australia, the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Foundation also works collaboratively with local communities, local government and community organisations on place-based responses to local health challenges.
